I've noticed some difference in what I have played; some feel brittle, but go a long ways, others feel spongy, but I have played whatever was on sale, had won or had been given as a gift. I read the 2008 Golf Digest article on golf balls and tried to match my game to the balls they suggested for my profile. I had been given a box of these at an outing and put them on the shelf "for later". I decided to try them late in the season of my league and at first didn't really notice much difference. Then I began to notice a pattern in how my play around the green was changing. I was repairing a lot of ball marks on the green because these balls just seemed to STICK when they hit the green. I suppose the ball spin (which I never paid attention to in previous purchases or really was aware of the feature) is a big part of it. I'm looking forward to hitting these with the new Callaway irons I bought last week.

These are by far the longest balls I've used. They are easily 20 yards longer than the Bridgestone B330s and the Titleist Pro V1. There is definitely something to the hex dimple pattern - if there wasn't why would other manufacturers use their technology (take a plastic bag and wrap it tightly around a Titleist Pro V1 and you'll see what I mean).
Durability is excellent, spin/bite are superb and the feel with wedges and the putter is great. Titleist balls may dominate the market, but Callaway balls dominate in performance. - MountainGolfer.com

Even if you've been playing for years these clubs are great. nice bag space, they're no Taylormade. but they sure are forgiving. Even if your game off the tee isn't that great you can always tee up your ball and use one of the hybrids and knock the ball straight. you'll lose some distance but at least you'll find the fairway. lol
great clubs for the money.

I never comment on anything but I have to share this time! These clubs are awesome! I golf about 10 times a year and decided I needed a decent pair of clubs and was tired of borrowing or renting lefty pieces of crap. I went out this last weekend and was shocked at the instant improvement in my game.It has a huge big bertha like driver that I used about 5 times and I hit it about 300 yds 4 of those times! The irons are just as good and the hybrids are also top notch. My boss saw the clubs and was shocked as to what I paid. They were exactly like his callaways except for a fraction of the price. Also they are perfect height I am 6'0 exactly and they were just right. I RECOMMEND THESE TO ANYONE who likes great quality at a GREAT price, thank you Top Flite!!!!

Having only picked up golf in the last year I wanted a cheaper set to get started. I'm very impressed with this set. It compares very favorably to sets that cost twice as much. It does not feel or play like a cheap set, which is nice. I've now had the clubs going on two seasons and they have held up very well. The hybrids are a big plus. The putter is the mallet style, but I actually like that. The only downside I found is that it does not come with a sand wedge. Overall, its a good starter golf set.

This is one of the best buys that I have ever made. We actually end up leaving the course with more balls than we arrived with. Many golfers cannot get to the balls that are hit in the water, etc.; however, we are able to retrieve our golf balls as well as others. It works fantastic!

Very good build but be prepared to get wet as it's tubing seems to fill with water faster than you can drain it out(filled my bag with water and my grips got wet). It's heavy build might make it last longer than a cheaper products but you pay for it with double the dollars, double the weight and it holds water. A rare phenomenon indeed but it's overbuilt! I'll buy a cheap lightweight retriever next time and pay 1/2 the price, have 1/2 the weight and keep my bag dry.
