Simply put, Callaway Golf engineers have re-invented tour golf ball performance. This isn't a small step forward. It's a giant leap forward. The new Tour i Golf Ball is the most technologically advanced tour ball you've ever played, providing the perfect balance of breakthrough distance and control. Innovative 4-piece inertia technology utilizes a tungsten-infused outer core to shift weight away from the center of the ball, reducing driver spin for maximum distance and straighter shots. The softer core formulation provides unparalleled tour feel and the softer urethane cover generates more short-game spin for precision control and aggressive shot-making. A refined HEX Aerodynamics pattern further increases distance through reduced drag and better stability. 4 pieces, 2 cores, 1 unbeatable ball.

- The fastest growing ball on Tour in 2008- Tungsten-Infused outer core distributes weight away from the center of the golf ball to increase the ball's Moment of Inertia (MOI), reducing spin off the driver for longer and straighter shots.
- Dual Core combines a lower compression inner core inside a higher compression outer core to manage spin - less spin off driver for more distance and more spin around the green for better control.
- New, softer thermoset urethane cover provides unmatched feel with increased short-game spin for precision control around the greens
- High density mantle layer works with the dual core to produce high ball speed and move more weight to the perimeter.

I've noticed some difference in what I have played; some feel brittle, but go a long ways, others feel spongy, but I have played whatever was on sale, had won or had been given as a gift. I read the 2008 Golf Digest article on golf balls and tried to match my game to the balls they suggested for my profile. I had been given a box of these at an outing and put them on the shelf "for later". I decided to try them late in the season of my league and at first didn't really notice much difference. Then I began to notice a pattern in how my play around the green was changing. I was repairing a lot of ball marks on the green because these balls just seemed to STICK when they hit the green. I suppose the ball spin (which I never paid attention to in previous purchases or really was aware of the feature) is a big part of it. I'm looking forward to hitting these with the new Callaway irons I bought last week.
